🔎 Habitat: The plain tiger prefers arid, open areas, and is found in a variety of habitats, including deserts, mountains, deciduous forests, and human-tended gardens in cities and parks. 


🔎 Food resource: The plain tiger's larval host plants are from several families, most importantly 

•Asclepiadoideae (Apocynaceae)

•Asclepias – milkweeds

•Calotropis – mudar


🔎 Prepupal and pupal stages: *Before pupation, the caterpillar will become motionless and cease feeding. Its color shifts slightly from gray to brown, and it may lose a small amount of body mass. The prepupal stage lasts 1–3 days depending on temperature. The pupal stage lasts 9–15 days depending on temperature, and the pupa changes color over this period from a pale green to dark brown. Pupae are about 17 mm (0.67 in) tall and 8 mm (0.31 in) wide.* 


🔎 Protective coloration & behaviour :The plain tiger is mimicked by several species due to its unpalatability to potential predators.

    Never know there are variety of caterpillar. Thanks for this beautiful shot which is expanding our knowledge. The texture of this caterpillar is damn good. And the way it was shot is fab😊❤️❤️💚✨

  Water scorpion - Rutanasa , any of the approximately 150 species of aquatic invertebrates of the family Nepidae. The water scorpion resembles a land scorpion in certain ways: it has scythelike front legs adapted for seizing prey and a long, thin, whiplike structure at its posterior end. This “tail,” made up of two attached respiratory tubes, is extended above the surface of the water, enabling the animal to take in air. The bite of the water scorpion is painful but is far less harmful to humans than the sting of the true scorpion. Water scorpions are blackish brown in colour and measure about 25 to 52 millimetres (1 to 2 inches) in length. The different species vary somewhat in shape. Holotrichia is a genus of beetle in the family Scarabaeidae, which are well known as "chafer beetles" or "white-grubs" for their white larvae that are found under the soil where they feed on the roots of plants.
